Georgia Guided Pathways and HIPs for Equitable Education

The USG Equity HIPs initiative is in process creating common, uniform taxonomies for the most widely employed HIP activities within the state. The taxonomy groups employ uniform attributes for each HIP at the sector level, including levels of intensity/benchmarks. These taxonomies are also being used to create a system-wide data structure that is embedded into the BANNER student information system.

Partially complete at present, the overall goal is to use the taxonomies, reporting structures and tools, and data communication structures to intentionally embed HIPs into the Georgia Momentum Approach implementation plan, and subsequent curricular and co-curricular guided pathways.
